Today is not January 17th, however, it is the date that we found out that we have been BLESSED with another little angel. Indeed, the wait is over and we are finally expecting!! Boy or girl, our new addition's name will be Tai.
I was over the moon when I found out yet very nervous and slightly overwhelmed. We have been trying for quite sometime but even when you are planning for a baby, you become nervous. Aside from the nerves, I am sooo excited for a new addition to our family and especially for Anelia to have a sibling/friend.
I'm almost positive this little bundle of joy is a boy. I have been feeling completely different from my pregnancy with Anelia. I have very little energy, I'm nauseous, rarely hungry, and extremely emotional. With Anelia I had an amazing pregnancy but not so much this time around. That's completely fine though, it'll all be so worth it. I just want these next nine months to fly right on by so we can enjoy our sweet baby!
Finding out... I originally was going to wait to take a test around the 24th with Sage but with my Birthday weekend approaching I wanted to know beforehand because I didn't want to drink without knowing. I went to the store on the 17th for groceries with Anelia, Sage was working that night. As soon as I got home I couldn't wait and immediately took the test. Before I even left the bathroom to give the test sometime, I could see two lines on the test... Which means positive. I took the second test and received the same result. I always wanted to surprise Sage in a cute way to let him know we were expecting but I couldn't handle waiting and took a picture of the tests and sent them to him via text message. He isn't allowed to have his phone at work so I knew he'd be surprised when he turned it on.
He took his lunch break around 1am that morning and called me, with excitement in his voice he asked what it meant.. I let him know that it meant that I was pregnant :) For some reason he thought I was playing a joke on him and didn't believe me, little punk. I took the third test that morning while he was home and he knew that I wasn't kidding after that.
We're so excited, I'm most excited to have a little precious newborn at home. Anelia is in the prime of her terrible two's and I so miss having a little QUIET baby around haha.
Speaking of Anelia, she's grown much too fast. She surprises us everyday with her talking. The other day while I was at Sage's parents house she went to grab her favorite chips and found that the bag was empty. She looked up at me and said "Where is it?!" hahaha, she has the cutest soft high pitched voice, she's perfect. Although, her attitude is far from perfect nowadays. I'm lucky when she doesn't throw tantrums or hit me in the face when she's mad. Her new thing is to throw toys at me when she's mad. She's got a really good arm and aim for a two year old haha. I just hope that she doesn't try to throw toys at her new little siblings when he/she arrives.
I'm almost certain that she'll be sweet and kind when I have the baby. She ALWAYS points out an babies when we are out and loves to see them. We shall see though, it's going to be very interesting.
Our due date is September 18th according to the date I got online. I have my first doctor's appointment this Friday so we'll get a more accurate date.
Well, here's to being a mommy of two amazing blessings, I can't wait to experience this new journey!
