disneyland 2015

Things have been busy, busy, busy since returning from California.  Our trip was so much fun & the first trip we've taken to Disneyland & California as a family of four.

The past two times we've gone to Disneyland it's been a kind of spur of the moment thing.  We decided to visit there the day before heading to Carson for a funeral.  We left around 4am on Wednesday & planned to check into our hotel early, get ready & go directly to the park. I know we're crazy but that's what parents do right? Sacrifice their sleep & sanity for the happiness of their children.  Well, our plan didn't go as planned.  We typically stay at the same hotel every time we visit & unfortunately, it was completely booked.  This time we stayed at the Wyndham.  We arrived at our hotel around 8:30am & they didn't allow us to check in because they didn't have any rooms available.  So we went with plan B, having a plan B is always a must when traveling with children.

When we got to our hotel we were still in our pajamas, my hair was a beautiful mess, & teeth had yet to be brushed.  So we did what we had to & got ready in the bathrooms of the hotel. So glamorous right? I know.  Thankfully the bathrooms were clean & had plenty of counter space.  Sage took Ane & got her ready while I took Tai, our double stroller & bags full things to make me pretty because after a 4 hour drive this momma was looking rough.  Tai sat patiently in the stroller while I managed to curl my hair, brush my teeth, do my make up & get dressed.  The looks I received in that bathroom that morning were priceless but a girls gotta do what a girls gotta do.

Sage & Ane ate while I got ready so once I was done we put the Minne ears on our little minis & took the hotel shuttle to the park.  Surprisingly the park wasn't busy at all.  It made things so much more enjoyable & I think the longest we waited for any ride was 15 minutes max.

When we arrived Minnie & Mickey were right at the entrance so we knew we had to pay them a visit.  The thing I love most about visiting Disneyland is seeing the pure joy your children have while experiencing everything.  Anelia was so excited to see all the characters & her reactions were absolutely priceless.

After seeing Mickey, Minnie, Pluto, Donald, Daisy, Ariel, Chip & Dale; we made our way towards the rides.  I hadn't eaten yet so I went straight for a cream cheese filled pretzel, such a healthy, nutrious breakfast- yes, I know.  While I was stuffing my face with the delicious pretzel, Sage & Ane rode on Buzz Lightyear.  This was Ane's favorite ride this time around- she still mentions it almost everyday & pretends to be shooting at targets.  She's such a character.

We then made our way to Toon Town while Tai went down for her first nap.  Ane & I went on the rollercoaster which was seriously so fun.  Her expression through the whole thing was perfect.  She laughed & giggled which was a relief because I was worried she was going to be so scared.

Tai woke up from her nap & was ready for some lunch so while I fed her, Ane & Sage rode on Roger Rabbit.  Ane didn't like this ride at all & still to this day has nightmares about it. She's so dramatic; I don't know where she got that trait from?  To lighten things up we went on Its a Small World as a family.  It was Tai's first Disneyland ride & she sat happily & thrilled through the entire thing.  That's a big deal for her considering she's just 7 months & has a very short attention span.  She loved it though & so did Ane.

It was a little after noon so we decided to catch a bite to eat in Orleans Square.  The food was delicious as always.  Disneyland never disappoints when it comes to food in my opinion.  Or it could just be the fact that there's no limits when on vacation & I ate whatever I wanted.  Probably... While eating lunch I called the hotel to see if we could get into a room & they had one ready.  We made our way back to the hotel & everyone took a much needed 2 hour nap.  Safe had driven us to California & I got to sleep most of the way so when the girls got up, I got them ready, packed all our bags & woke him up at the very last minute to allow him to get a few extra minutes of sleep.

When we went back to the park we rode...
Dumbo
The carousel
Took a snack break... Mmm funnel cakes!

Tai then had a wonderful diaper blow out so we made our way to the baby center.  In the many times we've visited Disneyland I've never used the baby center.  It was a HUGE help, convenient & most importantly, clean!  The magic continued & we rode...

Buzz Lightyear, again
Astro Blasters

And then it was time for fireworks.  The day flew right by & it was pure magic as always.  We love Disneyland & can't wait to return.  Hopefully sooner, rather than later.

I managed to take a lot of videos & pictures & placed them in a cute little slideshow, however, I'm not able to post it.  Maybe one day I'll figure out how to share pictures & videos from my phone? Until then, that's what following me on Instagram is for.

Until next time...
Xo, Ang.
