We took a trip to California for Father's Day weekend. It was our first trip with just our little family & it was amazing! We didn't even do anything very exciting but just spending quality time with one another and relaxing was perfect.
We wouldn't have been able to go on this trip if it wasn't for Sage. Due to all of his hard work, we were able to go & I am so thankful for his everyday sacrifice and hard work for our family. I try to let him know how truly appreciated he is. I don't know how I got so lucky to have him. He's the very best husband & father to our daughter.
Here's 10 things that I absolutely love about Sage, in no particular order:
1. His jokes. Sage is hilarious & that's one of the main reasons I fell in love with him. He tells these horrible, corny jokes that you just can't, not laugh at. He also does these little things that he thinks are hilarious that really aren't but because I love him, I laugh anyways. For example, since we started dating he'd discretely look at the temperature listed inside the car, put his hand out the window and say "It feels like 70 degrees outside..." then he'd point out the temperature listed and say "OH MY GOSH! LOOK! It IS 70 degrees!" Such a dork, but I love him for it.
2. The love he shows towards Anelia is priceless. He is an incredible dad & Anelia is so in love with him. I love that as soon as he arrives home the first person he yells for or goes to is Anelia with open arms. Anytime Ane shows love towards me, Sage has to interevene and make sure he gets some love from her too. He's always making her laugh by making the weirdest faces and crazies voices. He's an awesome dad and Anelia and our future babies are blessed to have him as their daddy.
3. He's a very hard worker. Sage works so hard & he is so dedicated to his new job. I love to see how passionate he is about his job. I admire him so much for giving his job 110% & being so dedicated. He is pure proof that it is possible to work hard and enjoy your job at the same time. I hope that one day I find a job that I am just as passionate about... (Preferably a stay at home mom lol jk)
4. The little, sweet things he does to show me he loves me. Since we started dating in high school Sage ALWAYS made sure to show me he loved me. Whether it was giving me a gift just because or going all out on the holidays, he has always been a charmer. He'll write me sweet notes or clean without being asked. He always surprises me in little ways that effect me in a big way. I'm all about the little things, I love small sentimental things and memories that I can cherish for a lifetime. Whether it was a love letter or just a memory of a sweet motion he's made. Over the years Sage has got his charming down to a T and I appreciate his love so much.
5. His laugh. I never have told Sage this but I love his laugh. He has this extremely high pitched laugh that sounds similar to an old lady's. It's hilarious. When he laughs, it makes me laugh even harder. Not to mention, he has an increbily smile when he laughs.
6. The way he takes care of himself. Sage is all about fitness, he goes to the gym often and takes good care of himself. I admire him for this because I am the kind of person who works out for a week and then I go back to being lazy and eating terribly. Sage pushes and motivates me to be a better, healthier me.
7. He knows me, better than I know myself. Throughout the years Sage & I have learned how to read eachother very well. I'll attempt to say something and he'll finish it for me. I'll tell him I want to try something crazy and he knows that it's just a 5 minute phase I'm going through and I'll get over it within a matter of minutes. He knows that when I start to deep clean and organize, chances are I won't finish or I will take forever to finish because I have what I refer to as "Cleaning ADD" haha! So when I attempt to clean he dreads it lol! He knows me like the back of his hand.
8. The way he keeps to himself and doesn't care what anyone else is doing or thinks. Sage is all about privacy. He doesn't care to share anything with anyone and he doesn't care to hear what anyone else is doing. When I try to gossip or tell him things I hear, he doesn't show any kind of interest lol. I need to learn a thing or two from him. I admire that he isn't a gossip because I know more than a few "men" who talk like women haha. Sage doesn't care for people's business and he likes to keep his business to himself.
9. That he is my complete opposite. Sage hates being hot, I hate being cold. Sage loves to hunt, I feel bad for the animals that get hunted. Sage loves spicy foods, I can't handle pepperoni. Sage is a morning person, I hate waking up anytime before 10am. Sage is always in a rush and is on time, I take my sweet time and am always late. I'm sure you get the picture now yes? Even though we disagree on quite a bit we still work perfectly together.
10. Last but not least, his forgiving heart. I am in no way the perfect wife. I make mistakes, I say things I shouldn't, I nag when I should be thankful. I have hurt Sage in the past and he has forgiven me of everything and it is because he is so forgiving that we are as strong as we are today. I often am amazed at all that we've been through and it makes our love just that much better because we made it. We made it because of him and his heart. I have the greatest love that people dream about and I have him to thank. He's amazing.
