Catch up

Lots to catch up on...

Our weekend was quite eventful and lots of fun.

On Thursday, May 2nd, ... Wait, may I just say I can't believe it's already May?! (no pun intended)  It's crazy how fast this year passed.  Time just passes too quickly as you age.  It's ridiculous.

Anyways, Ane & I spent the morning relaxing.  It's always nice to just lay around & cuddle with my monkey.  She's all about cuddling & will just randomly come lay next to me, she's the sweetest.

Later that afternoon, we decided to go deliver some Jamba Juice to my mom at work.  My mom is a director of a call center.  Besides being amazing in general, she's an incredible example of a hard worker. 

 

 

Anelia enjoyed every minute there although she was very shy and when people would say hi to her. She'd immediately run to me and hide behind my legs.  She's so loud and outgoing at home but when it comes to people she doesn't know, she's quiet and timid.  Funny how that works...

 

Friday, May 3rd we spent majority of our morning laying around and being bums again.  I was sick of being in the house so we decided to go to my parents to swim. 

 

My parents moved to Henderson into a smaller home, they no longer need a 4 bedroom home because it's just them.  Their neighborhood is perfect for them, it's quiet and has a community pool and dog park.  I wouldn't mind moving in their neighborhood haha. 

 

We decided to go to their pool to take a dip.  The weather here has been HOT to say the least.  I loved their pool, it's heated which is a huge plus in my book, I hate cold water with a passion ha.  I don't enjoy swimming unless the water is warm.  Most importantly, Ane had the time of her life.  She's become really comfortable with water which is a good and bad thing. 

 

I really want to get her into swimming lessons this summer.  Sage's parents have a pool in their backyard and with her being around water so much and being more comfortable with it I want her to learn how to swim ASAP.  I don't want to dwell on that subject too much.  The thought alone is too much but Sage & I want her safe this summer so we'll be looking into that more.

 

 

We look forward to spending more time at their pool this summer and I'm positive Ane is excited as well.

 

Later that evening my parents invited us to dinner at the Green Valley Ranch buffet.  They started serving crab legs again so we couldn't pass that up.  Dinner was absolutely delish and the company was even better.  We haven't been able to see my parents much due to our busy schedules.  Spending time with them is always full of laughs, my dad & his fob comments and then there's my mom & her cheesy jokes... It's always a good time.

 

Check out these tough guys!  Haha!  The two men in my life who have gone above and beyond in making sure I am loved and well taken care of.  The more time these two spend together, the more I realize they are so much alike.  They both have a love for fitness and spending time at the gym, they both wear clothes too many times before they wash them again lol... It's kinda scary but hilarious all at the same time.  Honestly, growing up my dad gave me everything I could ever need or want.  I'm forever grateful for his generosity and all that he did and continues to do for me.  The entire time that Sage & I have been together he's always been loving, caring and giving.  I love and appreciate these two so much! 

Yesterday I did some spring cleaning and organized our room a bit.  After taking naps and eating lunch we went to the park with Sage's family.  Ane loves the park of course.  She goes up the stairs of the playground like a pro and with a little help she turns on her belly & slides right on down.  She also loves the swings and could swing for hours if I let her.

All in all, our weekend was a success and well spent in my book.  We hope that the few of you who do follow are doing well haha. xo.
